Wild Spirit yoga is a unique studio in the heart of Old Town Tomball.
We are a 1940s bunk house converted to yoga studio and we lovingly refer to her at "The Mothership".
We often hold community yoga events in our backyard garden and do one-on-one sessions
and yoga teacher training in our secondary room we call "The Nest"
We offer a variety of yoga and wellness related services.
Our Beginner classes benefit every level of yoga practitioner, and is designed to bring us to our mats with a beginner's mind. Each session will begin with the fundamentals of breath and meditation, focus on the basics of seated and standing postures and conclude with intentional rest. Students will actively interact with their breath and movements, thus learning the roots of a holistic yoga practice.
We explore what it means to advance your yoga, (it doesn't necessarily mean harder poses...). We offer classes that not only focus on asana and preparing for the more intricate poses, but incorportates effective breathing techniques (pranayama), mantra, philosophy, and meditation.
Hatha yoga means to to bring together the 2 polarities, the sun and the moon, the action and the breath, the doing and the undoing. Our Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga classes honor the full yoga practice.
A mix of active and passive stretching to become aware of the sensations in the body. Re-learning how to listen to the messages our body is telling us through breath, meditation and movement. This class provides a safe space for practitioners to begin their yoga practice, connect with their body, and cultivate a compassionate relationship with the inner landscape of the mind, body and spirit. Suitable for all levels, including students who have never practiced yoga.
"It takes real courage to take steps towards living in authenticity. It takes courage because its hard to get there alone. A community to hold space for you to be messy, drop perfection and call you across the river. I mean yeah, we're a yoga studio and we will teach you triangle pose and how to breathe once you get there and how to track and sense what's there, but we are along with you for the ride. When that awakening hits and you're ready to celebrate, finally feeling reverence for right where you are, when you see how much you have come to know and you are ready to reconcile where you've been so you can consciously and powerfully create what's next. We champion that kind of growth around here." - Jennifer Carmack, Owner & Teacher
